Andusia signs 10-year RDF supply contract with EEW

Andusia Recovered Fuels Ltd, the UK’s largest independent exporter of refuse-derived fuels (RDF) has announced that it has secured a second long-term RDF supply contract with Germany-based combined heat and power (CHP) plant operator EEW Energy from Waste GmbH.

With a fleet of 18  energy-from-waste (EfW) CHP plants in Germany that use around 4.7 million of waste, EEW Energy from Waste is a leading company in heat and power generation from the thermal recycling and disposal of waste.

This second 10-year contract follows on from the first contract signed with EEW in January 2016 with an undisclosed extended tonnage.

According to Andusia, the contract demonstrates “the growing relationship developing between Andusia and EEW” and marks a further broadening of CHP plants in Northern Europe to enhance RDF supplies currently being sent to Scandinavia.
