Andusia renew RDF supply contract with Norwegian energy recovery plant

Andusia Recovered Fuels Ltd, the UK’s largest independent exporter of refuse-derived fuels (RDF) has announced that it has secured a three-year RDF supply contract extension with the KEA combined heat and power (CHP) plant (formerly EGE) in Oslo, Norway.

With 350 000 tonnes per annum capacity, the Klemetsrudanlegget (KEA) waste-fired CHP in Oslo is the largest of its kind in Norway. The company is also working to establish a full-scale carbon capture plant at the facility (photo courtesy KEA).

According to a statement, the company has again extended their agreement with the KEA CHP Plant in Oslo (formerly EGE) for an additional 3 years until mid-2021. With 200 000 tonnes of RDF expected to be delivered over the course of this renewed agreement, plus the option of a further 2-year extension, the “relationship between KEA and Andusia RFL continues to build from strength to strength.”

With this contract in place, the company looks set to maintain their position as the market leader in exports of RDF to Norway.
