Organized biennially by Finnmetko Oy, a consortium company owned by the Trade Association of Finnish Forestry and Earthmoving Contractors and Keski-Suomen Koneyrittäjät ry, the 18th edition of FinnMETKO was held during September 3- 5 2020.

Spaning an extensive area in the Myllymäki forest area in Jämsä, some 200 exhibitors showcased a diversity of modern earthmoving and forestry machinery and equipment to almost 10 000 visitors over the three days.

The outlook for growth in the consumption and use of energy wood and pulpwood in Finland was mirrored in the forestry aspect of the exhibition with new energy wood felling equipment, forwarders, and harvesters.

Thanks to all participants, visitors, exhibitors and the volunteers who helped to organize the exhibition. Together we achieved a successful event in good spirits amid this unprecedented situation, which required special arrangements, said Markku Suominen.

The expansive outdoor venue enabled safe social distancing while additional cleaning procedures and visitor compliance instructions were implemented as the guidance issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare.

Thematic areas along the 1.5 km trail highlighted an impressive range of machinery for excavation, road maintenance, and property management to machinery for processing recycling materials and demolition work.

The 19th edition, FinnMETKO 2022, will be held September 1 – 3, 2022.
