Swedish trade event organizer Elmia AB has announced that it has decided to reschedule the next edition of Elmia Wood, one of the world's leading forestry demo tradeshows, on account of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic."Large, international trade fairs require a long time for planning and preparation, which has left us with no other option than to make the difficult decision to postpone Elmia Wood to 2022", commented Lotta Frenssen, CEO of Elmia AB.

Held once every four years in the forests outside of Jönköping, the next edition of Elmia Wood was originally slated to take place in May 2021. With around 500 exhibitors, the four-day demo show attracts over 50 000 attendees from all around the world.
Given the current and anticipated post-COVID-19 impact on travel and public gatherings, Elmia AB has decided to reschedule Elmia Wood to June 2-4, 2022, shortening it to three days. The overriding theme of the trade fair will be “the value of the forests”.
The current situation is very difficult to analyse. Unfortunately, we have no other option than to postpone and focus on adapting to the new, worldwide situation, explained Lotta Frenssen.
