HERZ Energietechnik GmbH have launched its first wood pellet boiler with condensing technology, pelletstar CONDENS.
Austrian biomass boiler developers and manufacturers HERZ Energietechnik GmbH have launched its first wood pellet boiler with condensing technology, pelletstar CONDENS.
Over 106 percent efficiency
The high efficient combustion-technology and the high-quality components resulted in an efficiency-improvement of the pellet boiler, to over 106 percent says HERZ, as well as a reduction of emissions.
The steam in the flue gas is cooled down so far that liquid condensate is formed in the heat exchanger. With this cooling process condensing heat is released and can be used for heating purposes, thereby efficiencies over 106 percent are achieved.
Subfloor and radiator applications
According to the company, its “pelletstar CONDENS” boiler is the ideal solution for new buildings as well as for renovations. The heat distribution can be done via a low temperature system such as subfloor heating or a traditional high temperature radiator system. Depending on requirement the boiler can supply the correct temperature even without a buffer tank.
Compact and compatible design
The compact design enables quick and easy onsite installation. In addition, the system can be placed in a corner flush with the wall providing options for boiler rooms with limited space. Lambda probe technology, standard in all HERZ boilers, ensures optimal combustion coping with variations in pellet fuel quality.
Stainless steel is used in the combustion chamber, heat exchanger and boiler body to ensure long service life. Automatic ash removal from the combustion chamber and heat exchanger eliminates shutdown for manual cleaning keeping boiler availability high. The boiler is compatible with all HERZ pellet in-feed systems including flexible or rigid augers, suction systems or manual hopper units.
