Neste’s inventors land 2023 European Inventor Award

Finland-headed oil refiner and renewable products major Neste Oyj, has announced that its inventors have been honored with the prestigious European Inventor Award 2023 in the Industry category by the European Patent Office (EPO).

Neste is a leading producer of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable diesel, and renewable feedstock solutions for various polymers and chemicals industry uses, and the industry category award recognizes inventors of commercially successful technologies patented by large European companies.

The winning team representing Neste’s innovation community included inventors Pia Bergström, Senior Specialist, Feedstock; Annika Malm, Senior Associate; Jukka Myllyoja, R&D Fellow; Jukka-Pekka Pasanen, Senior Associate; and Blanka Toukoniitty, Technical Support Lead, Feedstock growth.

They were granted the award in recognition of their work on converting waste and residues into high-quality renewable solutions. In this area, they have been involved in innovation work and related patents.
