RSB joins the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests and Agriculture

The Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB) has announced that it has joined the Brazilian Coalition on Climate, Forests, and Agriculture citing that "knowing the power of collective action, the importance of engaging with this multi-stakeholder coalition could not be clearer."

According to a statement, there is no doubt that the bioeconomy can be harnessed as the world takes on the challenge of growing inclusive economies and protecting precious natural and human capital, but it must embed and promote real sustainability – for the planet and all people.

RSB can support the development of bioeconomy, providing tools and solutions that mitigate business risk and contribute to achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and has the world’s most trusted, peer-reviewed, global certification standard for sustainable biomaterials, biofuels and biomass production.

We look forward to working with the 200 plus coalition members – representing international and local businesses and NGOs including Abag, ABBI, Abiove, Agroicone, Amaggi, BASF, Bayer, Cargill, CPFL Renováveis, Boticário, IBÁ, Imaflora, Klabin, Natura, Suzano, Organização de Conservação da Terra, Proforest, World Resources Institute (WRI), WWF Brazil, UNICA, Unilever – to drive the case for real and meaningful sustainability in Brazil’s approach to climate change, its precious natural assets and the important agricultural sector, RSB said in a statement.
