Solør Bioenergi Varme Holding AS, part of Sweden-headed Solör Bioenergi Group, has announced that it has taken over the shares in Bioenergi AS. With the acquisition, the company expands with several biomass-fired district heating plants in Norway.

Bioenergi AS owns and operates Dikemark district heating plants in Asker municipality, west of the capital Oslo. The Dikemark district heating system provides public and private customers with approximately 12 GWh of renewable heat annually.
The energy is produced from biomass and Solør Bioenergi will continue to operate with the same high security of supply and quality as before.
Oslo University Hospital HF is the largest customer where Dikemark district heating supplies several of the hospital’s buildings with renewable heating.
We will implement measures to adapt and update facilities and customer centers to our operating model. The portfolio fits well into our business model and we have begun to identify potential for further development of district heating in the area, said Hans Ivar Morken at Solør Bioenergi Varme AS.
The value of the transaction has not been disclosed.
