Axis Technologies enters Norwegian heat market with first order
Axis Technologies, a subsidiary of Lithuania-headed Axis Industries Group, has announced that it has been contracted by Norwegian energy company Eidsiva Bioenergi AS to supply a flue gas condenser economiser for a biomass-fired district heating plant in Lillehammer, Norway. The order marks the first delivery by Axis Technologies to Norway.
A subsidiary of Norway-headed Eidsiva Group, Eidsiva Bioenergi AS is the third-largest energy production company in Norway supplying around 400 GWh of heat per annum. The flue gas condensation economizer will be installed later this year and enable the plant to reach some 20-25 percent heat recovery thus correspondingly reduce biomass consumption and positively contribute to the reduction of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Exporting products and services to Scandinavia is one of our main goals. We are already implementing energy projects in Sweden and won a tender in Norway, which was our first foot through the door in the Country. As always, we presented the client with a tailor-made technical solution, said Giedrius Vaitkevičius, CEO, Axis Technologies.
According to Vaitkevičius, the offer presented by Axis Technologies, which competed in the tender against Scandinavian companies, was “considered the best” when taking into account technical concept, experience with the implementation of similar projects and equipment manufacturing, delivery and installation terms.
Axis Technologies has been operating in the Scandinavian market since 2015. The company is currently completing its latest project in Sweden – the construction of an 8 MW biomass boiler plant on the turnkey supply basis for the Sävsjö Energi utility in Sävsjö. Services comprised of plant engineering, main equipment manufacturing, installation, start-up and commissioning.
In 2016, Axis Technologies provided a biomass furnace, boiler and flue gas cleaning device for Hilmer Andersson, a Swedish wood processing company and successfully completed flue gas condensation economizer project for the biomass boiler plant in the City of Gislaved in southern Sweden.
