Sweden-based manufacturer of compact forestry machines Malwa Forest AB has revealed that it will unveil its next generation harvester, the Malwa 560H, during the upcoming Elmia Wood 2017 along with its forwarder and combination machine in the same series.

The company which specialises in producing compact harvesters and forwarders debuted with its first machine the 360 series at the show in 2009 as Malwa International and earlier this year it completed delivery of its 75th unit to a forest owner in southern Sweden.

Malwa forestry machines are characterized by being compact and lightweight yet effective for first and second thinning. Although originally targeting active forest owners, sales to forestry contractors increased 2016.

We are now seeing a clear trend in that our machines attract more and more entrepreneurs. In 2016, more than 50 percent of the machines were sold to contractors compared to 40 percent the year before. Now we are beginning to reap the benefits of our development efforts against the tougher demands of entrepreneurs, said Hans Lindberg, CEO of Malwa Forest.

According to the company, the new harvester has a new casted bogie and optimized frame structure to further enhance handling, strength and longevity. The machine can be equipped with extra diesel tank and 100 l capacity on stump treatment fluid for increased productivity.

We are proud to present our new harvester who together with our forwarder is an unbeatable team for gentle thinning. Our ambition is to contribute to timber-rich, storm-resistant stands with minimal environmental damage, said Magnus Wallin, Founder and Business Development Manager.
