US-headed INOLEX Inc., an independent, global speciality ingredients company that provides formulations and materials for the world's leading cosmetic and consumer product companies has announced that it will now offer Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified mass-balanced palm across its full product line.
An active member of the RSPO since 2012, INOLEX obtained certification in 2017 by the RSPO to supply mass-balanced palm to customers. In a statement, the company says that has been working toward this comprehensive offering as part of its ongoing sustainability initiatives for improved supply-chain traceability and transparency. A commitment to zero deforestation by 2020 has also been made.

The mass balance supply chain model administratively monitors the trade of RSPO certified oil palm products throughout the entire supply chain, which allows stakeholders throughout the process to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable palm production and trade.
The company also complements its full offering of mass-balanced ingredients with a range of palm-free alternatives “in response to customer requests” to meet the broad needs of the beauty care market. These products include palm-free sensory fluids, sensory emulsifiers, alternative preservation systems, polymers and hair conditioning agents—categories which have historically been palm-derived.
