The World Biogas Association (WBA), the UK-headed global trade body for the anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas industry, too has unveiled a new look and branding in a bid to better ‘reflect benefits of biogas across multiple sectors’.
According to a statement, the new WBA logo incorporates a multi-coloured circle, reflecting the “contribution of biogas to the circular economy across a wide spectrum of sectors” including energy, farming, transport, waste management, and human health in every country in the world. Earlier this week the European Biomass Association (AEBIOM) launched its Bioenergy Europe rebranding.
We’re really excited to unveil WBA’s vibrant new look, which reflects this exciting industry’s huge potential and the benefits it offers across multiple sectors. AD and biogas technologies can help to achieve nine of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 20 percent, and they are ready for adoption right across the globe. AD and biogas technologies convert organic wastes and energy crops into renewable energy, clean transport fuel, and nutrient-rich biofertiliser, helping to reduce emissions whilst improving energy and food security and improving air quality, said David Newman, President of WBA.
The new look for WBA was unveiled on July 10, on the eve of the UK AD & World Biogas Expo 2018 currently underway in Birmingham and touted by WBA as the “world’s largest tradeshow dedicated solely to AD and biogas. The also show featured the UK launch of the WBA’s recently released report “Global Food Waste Management: An Implementation Guide For Cities“, written in collaboration with C40 Cities.
